The LithoQB team completed a stage of service work under a contract with one of Gazprom Neft Group companies for a South Orenburg license area. The work focused on seismic data analysis, reservoir property prediction, and refinement of the field geological model.
As part of the project, simultaneous seismic inversion of Lame parameters (LMR) was performed for terrigenous and carbonate intervals. The resulting elastic properties showed strong consistency with well data and can be used as a basis for further geological analysis.
To predict the distribution of productive intervals, the team applied lithoclassification based on the Random Forest algorithm. Spectral and seismic facies analysis of seismic data were also performed.
The calculated cubes were delivered to the customer's specialists and are used as a predictive basis. For LithoQB, this project became an important example of industrial application of quantitative seismic interpretation methods in service work.
